The Giants.

Ticket sales for the film THE GIANTS are going well. We were hoping for more support from Field Nats, though. Screening at 4pm, refreshments available.

It’s quite easy to book online. This link takes you straight to the Humanitix booking page https://thegiantsfilm.com/community-screenings#tas

Bob Brown is planning on coming up for the film.

This is an excerpt from an email received last week:
“We are hosting a webinar with Bob Brown on Monday the 14th of July focusing on learning from the lessons of the Franklin campaign to build another mass movement here in Newcastle to shut down the world’s largest coal port by 2030.  We already have over 100 registrations for it and are hoping to have hundreds more, there’ll also be a chance for audience Q&A at the end.

We promised to forward the information.

The First Inventors.

Episode 1 of this fascinating documentary on SBS contains a segment about research done at Surrey Hills, in N.W. Tasmania into the story of the vegetation and the landscape there. Surrey Hills has had a similar history to Paradise Plains, a place we have visited on a couple of occasions. Watching it would serve as a brilliant introduction to the topic our AGM guest speaker will address on August 12th.
