Treasurer’s Report: Myles, our new Treasurer noted an increase in membership from 9 couples to 20 couples and from 20 singles to 26 singles. He tabled the financial report detailing balances in two accounts: Tas. Perpetual Trustees – $3711.65 and Bendigo Bank – $706.04.

Business Arising:
EPIRB battery – Ian Cameron undertook to get a new battery fitted.
Northeast Park weeding group – Ross has made arrangements with Council re. weeding in the southern section of the park. He has produced a weed map, has talked also to Rotary and Lions and is now composing a list of volunteers. [Chris, Debbie S, Jenny B, Mike, Jay, Ian, Myles]
The group will be insured under Land Care.
AED – portable defibrillator – Debbie Searle moved “That the club purchase an AED” 2nd Debbie Pallister.
Discussion around initial [$600] and ongoing costs [$198] and the need for replacement after 30 months.
Motion failed – 6 in favour, 7 against with 3 abstentions.

Donations: it was agreed to donate $500 to the North East Bioregional Network and $200 to the Tasmanian Conservation Trust.
General Business:
Lou: Reported on Rice Grass Project, read a letter of commendation from Commissioner, Andrew Wardlaw and presented certificates to members who were part of the team.
Ross Coad made a recommendation on behalf of the Committee for Honorary Life Membership for Louise Brooker and presented Louise with the Honorary Life Membership Certificate.
